I had a rough night several days ago and slept late so my coffee was late so I stayed up later the next day... Could not get to sleep- I repeated that for three days in a row... and yet, here I sit with ANOTHER cup of coffee.
The Keurig does make a really nice cup. It is so yummy.

I. Hate. Dogs.

Kids #2,4,5 went to milk while 1 and 3 went to church to put back all the stuff we took out when we scrubbed the floors, and then do morning prayers.

So.... 2 and 4 finished the milking then brought the milk to the house and 5 started to lead the goats to the pasture (they sleep in the barn, and stay in the pasture during the day...not connected)

2and 4 were straining the milk getting breakfast started etc. and I ask where 5 is.... They tell me, and then I ask why we haven't yet seen him walk by the house? And are they sure #5 is fine? ( youngest is 7.5 years old). We all think for a few more minutes, then 2 goes out to see what is up.

We have had the goats for close to two months now... And NOW the dog is a problem. :he

So, kid 5 started to walk the goats out... Super easy, they follow you, you don't even need a leash. Then the dog flipped his stupid lid, and tried to herd the goats back into the barn, and then bit Holly's floppy ear. And poor kid 5 was hollering for help, trying to get the dog off the goat, and got one of his fingers mashed or stepped on or something so lots of blood from Holly's ear and from him too. :(

Kid 2 got the dog in the house, we washed off Holly's ear, and poured some nice herbal horse wound stuff that I have onto the wounds. Both sides of her giant floppy ear...of course. Just surface slices, so torn hide, and lots of dripping blood, but not horrid. It kept dripping blood so I had kid #4 go down with some flour to stop the bleeding.

Poor goats were so upset. Kid 2 stayed with them in the pasture as long as he could, until he had to run to Chinese, then kid 4 stayed with them a bit.

They must be OK now, because they are quiet...no more yelling. :rant I hate dogs.

Sometimes I have dogs too. Our great dane just got off the tie after being tied for several days for stealing hamburgers(our dinner as it was being out on the grill) and then spending two+ hours running out around the 300-500 acres of fields that the family owns that connect one field to another behind our property. Well first day off in a week and within ten minutes she does something naughty and runs out into the field. We caught her within a half an hour but ugh sometimes I have that dog. She was DH2B's before we got together and is going on 4 I think and is one of the naughtiest dogs I've ever met. She has a very dominant personality and totally seems to lack the natural respect that most dogs have for their owners. Let's just say he was in way over his head for his first dog and I don't personally think that the breeder should have sold him her, being that she's a very reputable breed. She never once said a thing about the pups personality.

I do however believe if you get an animal that you owe that animal a good life and not to just get rid of it. That being said I also don't want her to spend her whole life tied up, so we continue to work with her but today we have people coming to get chicks and hatchign eggs so it's a bad idea for her to be lose. She's not aggressive but she is huge and scary. Lol

I'm sorry about the fiasco you had today too. What kind of dog do you have?

We have a poodle crossed with an Australian shepherd. Stupid choice... Spouse loves dogs, and must always have one... Our last dog was a mastiff... Once old, he was mostly OK (as in motionless and not too much trouble), but this time around spouse wanted a more active dog that would play fetch with the kids.

I kept screaming that the dog better never kill my chickens, whatever dog we got, better have zero pray drive.

Blah.

I knew anything with poodle in it would be a stupid choice since poodles are known to be nippy.

Whatever... The dog of course DID kill several chickens before I trained it to stop.

I just hate dogs, most especially chicken eating and now goat chewing dogs. :tongue

Bad dog, bad dogs! It's Al's fault.

I love my Keurig - one cup at a time. I'd marry it,but I am taken.

I Love my Keurig too much to ever marry it. I just want to keep having the wonderful affair we have going now. If I married it, it would refuse to make coffee at 5am. Besides I already have one wife that refuses to make my coffee at 5am, why would I want another?

I also love my little spatula that I use when I fry eggs. Told the Princess that I wanted to marry the spatula - she just shook her head. Was that odd?
