I immediately separated them I thought mama was going to kill them when I saw the blood. I tried setting each one in its own little cup but they are really wiggly and ending up in a balled up mess in the bottom and when they tucker out from all that wiggling they get floppy and end up slouching in the bottom? Do they have to be upright in a cup or could I use a shallow bowl?

The cup is to keep them from rupturing the egg sack before it absorbs. Sometimes if there are a lot of hatch lings, they will also peck at the blood.

They are in a brooder?

Keep doing what you are doing and they will be much better tomorrow. Make sure they are eating and drinking too.

OK thank you! They are in the house under a heat lamp and a thermometer being kept at 95 degrees roughly they're in a small tote we were under the assumption mama duck was going to finish the job she started so at 3 am last night when we checked on her and the nest is when we noticed her picking at bloody eggs so we brought those 2 little ones in and set up what we could being soo totally unprepared for this situation

What should I feed them since they're not quite healthy ducklings? I read eggs and I'm not sure how to get that down them I'm just as of a few hours ago getting them to drink little amounts of sugar water at a time

Every once in a while Walmart does k-cup samples and there are cups of unfinished coffee all over the store. It's too strong for me.

Give them some scrambled eggs but not too much. They should eat a good starter feed or even a grower like flock raiser. Plain old water but I would also give them some type of vitamin water once a day.

Are you sure? The IRS is constantly taking mine so I assume that means I had too much before they took it. Afterwards, I am selling pencils from a cup on a street corner with dark sunglasses on.
