Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

these are my requirements.... sixty years now and no one has even come close to asking me to marry them. I guess I am defective some how.

I seriously doubt that. Some of us get lucky, and some don't, and some don't act at the proper time.

As 'Al' says "many people are royally bad" and 3ge's husband is on the money when he says, "There are a lot of jerks out there."

I have to agree, Luck and the wisdom to jump at the right moment...Some of us get lucky...After all who could not call the WWD lucky for roping me in.....

And there are lots of jerks....Even though I tease the crap out of the WWD, and she gets on my nerves now and then, (which makes no sense being married to the perfect man she should just go along with me all the time)... If she gets a sniffle or a pain, I worry, I cannot imagine life without her.

GAwd!! I cannot stand sappiness. Time for more coffee...

Speaking of which, she is making me take my birds to the shed today! Says they have lived in the house long enough... I am going to miss them. But now I will have room to take the new ones out of the incubator..

Good Sunday morning everyone!!!

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO MIGHT BE WONDERING EXACTLY WHAT DRUGS ARE INVOLVED, HERE IS THE LIST.

Are you familiar with the new Veterinary Feed Directive that takes effect on January 1, 2017? Most of the water soluble antibiotics you are used to buying OTC over the counter will be prescription only. Here is a list...

Thanks for posting!

I do not use anti biotics.

I think that is how they are supposed to be used, Ralphie.
They have their place, They save lives. However when they are used broad spectrum as a preventative, it all falls apart.

I know that is how they are suppose to work, I am just trying to not use them at all. My reasoning, which is always faulty, just ask the WWD, is using them could cause bacteria to mutate and become resistant. I want to avoid that.

I hate buying into popular folklore also, so I just do not know what to do at times. I use lots of bleach and disinfect like a madman. I have talked about all this with my Dr, who happens to be a huge chicken person too, we do not always agree but the conversation is interesting.

I also keep my young birds segregated because without antibiotics cocci could wipe everything out if not for segregation. I have no answer. I wish I was more reassured I am doing it right, or wrong.

corid is not an anti biotic and has worked well for me. Corid is not on the list of meds that need to have a prescription.

Have you looked into vaccinating for cocci
