Sitting with a cup of coffee. (coffee lovers)

I've been drinking DH's coffee the last couple days & I admit its not as bad as I thought it was. Turns out he's been buying a new kind but keeping it in the old, yucky container... That sneaky dog.

What?? Your Hubby would hide something from you?? Unheard of!!!

BTW I got busted yesterday....... My own sloppy habits and the wind gods have conspired to screw me over.

About 3 weeks ago I bought a new Dewalt Impact wrench. The one that uses the 20v max battery. ( I love those tools) We were putting up new breeding pens for next spring and I was using the wrench.

She asked me " is that new?"

I used my standard reply to that question, " not really, I have had it for awhile"

She says " how long?"

My response " I don't know awhile".

I thought it was over.

Then when I came in after chores, She says " When did you say you got that?"

Me, playing dumb said " Got what?"

Her questioning was getting better " that wrench you said you have had for a while".

I was starting to think I was in trouble. So I used the next standard response "I don't know"..

She then says "is that a Dewalt 20v Max Impact driver"

I was impressed she new what it was, I happen to be in the entry and not watching her. She does not know a screw driver from a pipe wrench. I said" Why yes it is, how did you know what it was"

She says. " Because I am reading it from the Runnings receipt"

I was shocked and said " What? Where did you get that?"

I knew I had left it in the waste basket in my van. We had the Grandkids this past weekend and I had to move the basket to put their car seats in the van. But how would she find that???

She says " I found it under the steps, the wind had blown a bunch of junk under it and this was amongst them." while showing me the receipt".

I was busted. I am guessing this is going to set back the purchase of my new grease gun a few weeks or so.

Morning, Chicki.

Hi Sour!!
It's now almost noon here. Had to pop outside and pick the crop from our best apple tree before the storms roll in later. It was so loaded the branches were in danger of snapping. Next few days are supposed to be wet, stormy and a LOT cooler so it's going to be days of the house filled with the smells of apple butter simmering on the stove and apple pies in the oven.
(and chasing the DH out of the kitchen so the pies will survive long enough to cool)
