Sorry that I have been offline for hours, but yes I would look at the video. I have mostly read about leg bone problems, not really dealt with them in my flock, but I know there is not a lot that people can do about them. Some chickens get along well enough to get enough to eat and drink with their handicaps, while others get worse with age.

I would think that there is either nerve damage in the leg which could be from an injury or possibly Mareks affecting the sciatic nerve in the leg. If it is a leg bone deformity such as varus valgus deformity or TD (tibial dyschondroplasia,) she may have suffered a ruptured hock tendon, which leaves the lower leg and foot useless. Has she always had a problem with the leg, or is it a recent thing?

@rebrascora is pretty familiar with Mareks symptoms in her flock for some time, and she might have some input after watching the video.

Thank you for helping me. To answer your question no she's not always been like that. I hatched her with 20 others here at my home. She was perfectly normal, had no trouble up until recently. It started with just a slight toe curl.
I have had a couple of cases of mereks in my flock a few years ago. I just never had it in a very young chick.
If I were to see a video of her/him and not know the chick, I would assume Mereks as well.
It could very well be. My concern for the chick is will it ever lead a normal life. I am leaning toward no.
If it is Mereks, then so be it, and I will humanely euthanize it. However if it has something that can be fixed within reason I would like to try.

My little girl has always had full reflex response but a very obvious limp almost like a broken hip but no obvious swelling/pain nor heat around the joint. She’s getting stronger everyday and has such a happy manner, I just love her. She even beats her nurse to the mealworms.

I want to apologize for hijacking your thread. I have been so focused on this chick, that I forgot my manners.
Regarding your girl, you say she always had full reflex?
If that is so, then this is not a good sign for my chick.
Even the chickens that had Mereks still had some reflex reactions in their feet.
Years ago I had a hen die of Mereks, and I made a video for myself to remember what her signs/ symptoms were.
After she died, I sent her off to necropsy to confirm that she indeed had it.
I think I posted the results from the necropsy somewhere on BYC.

Anyway, regarding this chick, I wish there was some magical blood test that would tell me for certain if she had Mereks.
