This is the back of my Cochin Rooster. It’s been a long time since I’ve had any issues. I just checked him for mites under a bright lite with magnify glass. Didn’t see anything. Could it be eczema? Any way to help him?

This is a pictures of his hackles. Just above his oil duct at the base of his tail.

If you look at the new feather on his back closely the feather was weird. It was very dry and just peeled off the outside layer. He has new feather coming in but his skin is so red and the other skin is creamy yellow. He fights with the geese a lot. Could it be because the geese are pulling his feather out. I’m baffled. Thank you

The casing around that feather was loose and just crumbled off. Maybe a deficiency of some sort. Oh and yes he does do dust baths with the hens.

Thanks. I just hope his feathers come back. I may treat him for mites just in case I didn’t see them. I just the Ivimec pour on. It works great for leg mites.
