i have a rhode island in my coop and she is skinny like really skinny her breastbone sticks out like an inch!!!! NEED HELP!

How old is your bird? What are you currently feeding? Are you seeing her eat and drink? What are her droppings like? How many other birds do you have and what condition are they in? Where is this bird in the pecking order? Do you have more than one feeding station? How long have you had the bird and how long has she been in declining condition? Have you checked her for parasites?

i think about 1 year old. layers pellets. no. not sure. 22 chickens one rooster 3 ducks. very low. 2 feeding stations one significantly larger. about 2 months. since i got her. no

If her abdomen is bloated (not the crop) I would think that she may have egg yolk peritonitis or internal laying. I would try a good dewormer such as fenbendazole (SafeGuard or Panacur) or Valbazen 1/2 ml by mouth and repeat in 10 days in case it is worms. If it is internal laying, some people treat with Penicillin (or other antibiotics from a vet,) to extend their lives, or drain the belly with a needle and syringe in case of ascites or water belly. Eventually though with internal laying, they will be in pain and need to be put down. Try giving her soft scrambled or boiled eggs to get her to eat, in addition to her feed.
