Skunk disposal

I caught another skunk last night. It's a big one. Easily 10 pounds or more. I put baking soda in the feed bag and then double bagged with the odor blocking garbage bags. I'll update at the end of the week on how it goes.

Today was trash day. I left the bag with the skunk between my sheds since it's shady almost all day. I'm happy to say that the baking soda seemed to do the trick. I had to get my face pretty close to the bag before I could smell anything. Not a pleasant smell by any means but a lot less intense than the others.

I think I'll stick with this method for any I catch but I'm going to change my approach a bit and try to deter others away. I think I got the ones that were under the shed but there are so many around. I think if I only keep catching them others will move into the territory.

I'll keep peanuts in mind.

I guess people can have their own definition of country. I'm still going to say I live out in the country.
