the new horse, a tri pinto, tried to herd her away. her instinct told her to go the way he wanted but years of going against her instinct made her freaze. she pinned her ears.

shadowflax stiffened as rocket rocketed out of the trees (hahahah). oldtime wild mustangs wern't like the 'skyherd' she had seen. the stallion didn't comingle. one stallion existed for each band of mare and if 2 stallions met they fought.
