She sighed "fine I will take him" with that she withdrew to the colt. She nudged him.

The colt refused to stand. He was too attached to his mother.

He scooted on his legs to get closer to his dam. Though she was laying down he tried to nurse, soon growing frustrated when he could not reach her udders. The colt screamed with his ears back while pawing at a small exposed area of her teats.

He turned his head towards BlackGold, his ears pinned. The colt tried to kick her though his legs were on the ground. Instead, dust billowed into the air and the colt tumbled to his side.
