Sled dog breeding

Houses "in town" (i.e. with borough utilities, paved streets, etc.) ARE ridiculously expensive, and most have stupid HOA's that restrict everything. NOT fun to live in town.

Acreages and "houses" off the grid, are VERY cheap, and VERY do-able. You do not need electricity in Alaska - no need for air conditioning or light in the summer, and heat in the winter is easy with wood. And off the grid means ZERO restrictions on what you do with the property.

A very, very, very nice 2000sf cabin in Ninilchik (on the Kenai Peninsula) on 5 acres, 15.7 miles out on Oil Well Road (which is maintained year round by the oil company, so it is drive-able by 4x4 vehicle in winter) will cost you ~$60K. That is the type of property you need to look for if you want a kennel - NOT in town.
