Yea
How's your dogs?
they are good. Meringue is mad at me and i dont know why
Well Fiona is back home with me. I received a call late Tuesday night to come pick her up. Apparently they took her to the vet, discovered she was sensitive/having pains in her right thigh. The vet kept poking her, she gently grabbed his hand and pulled it away from her leg twice, and the third time she growled and bite him. She didn't break skin, or even leave a bruise, but the family got immediately sent her back to me. I can't figure out what's going on with Fiona's leg. Her knee is fine, she don't react when I press on her hip joint, it only bothers her when you press the muscles of her right thigh. She runs, jumps and chases her tennis balls like nothing is wrong with her, but push on the muscles and she whimpers. And she hasn't set teeth to me even once when I have felt her leg, she uses her nose and tongue to move my hand away. I suspect she only bite the vet because he was a stranger, in a strange place, and kept hurting her. Lots of dogs don't like going to the vet, and the vet was an idoit. If you even suspect a dog may bite, get a muzzle, duh! I dont blame Fiona, I mean, dang, she let the vet know not to touch there and he didn't listen. If someone kept poking me in a sensitive or painful area I'd hit them too.
Last night the lady dropped off Fiona's vet records and training collar and I could see she wanted Fiona back. I told her I was keeping Fiona, at least until I can figure out what the heck happened to her leg. For now I have Fiona in obedience training, and a weight loss exercise program. I think getting the extra weight off will help whatever is going on. The new family was overfeeding Fiona, so the she gained a bit of weight again. And we had worked so hard to lose those 2 pounds too! Poor baby, Fiona really misses the kids, and the lady told me the 2 older girls are crying and upset. Oh well, guess they should have thought about all this before they sent her back. In all other respects Fiona was perfect, she was gentle with the kids, she followed them around everywhere and was protective of them, and the large 20 pound rag doll cat was sleeping next to Fiona.
Maybe get he tested by your vet, maybe it's a rolled disk or something, maybe the start of hip displasa.

poor baby. why would the vet keep poking her if he knew it hurt her? losing weight should help, I know my dogs leg hurt when he was fat, when he lost weight he was in no pain
