Sled dog breeding

that is not the way to start treadmill work. You need to start off with maybe 15 mins, every other day. Running on a treadmill is very different than running in real life. It uses different muscles, the dog has no control over speeding up/slowing down. Do you use a regular treadmill or a dog-powered treadmill?
You don't want to go too slow, especially in breeds built for running/trotting.
I will find my beginning schedule.

Also, for every 20 mins on the treadmill, you need to balance with at least that much time running and exercising in other ways.

It's a human tread mill. I went slow on Chevy, Lacey because Chevys a bit to big for her and she's over weight, slow for Lacey because she has bad hips.
Nala was slow because she is building up mucle tone.
Baby was trotting( mini weinner dog)
I'll get a pic of our tread mill and the dogs.

no that is WAY too much time. It should take at least a month + to work up to 30 minutes. And never more than once every other day unless extenuating circumstances.

You want to be at a walk for 5 minutes. A light jog for 3 minutes. A fast walk for 3 minutes. And a 3 minute cool down.

After a week, increase the light job by a minute.

I will get the actual settings and times from my friend. It was 2 years since I did the actual training to the treadmill so I've forgotten. I don't remember what the actual treadmill setting is.

no matter what condition the dog is in, working on the treadmill needs to be done slowly. It works muscles differently than road work or offleash running.

true. I don't like using treadmills. I want to build a dog walker for days I can't run. It kinda looks like a horse walker for a mini horse

Lol, like those mini horse rides were there's bars that each horse in that's attached to a spinning bar and you go in circles on the horse.
But I'm using the tread mill cuz it's hot and getting nala and baby used to it for when there in season.
I have a question when in the heat cycle can the dog get preg? My brother keeps letting nala out.
