Sled dog breeding

Its so easy to train a dog I dont understand why so many people have issues. one of my dogs is deaf and my friends joke it listens better than there dogs.  I have 3 pitbulls and 2 chihuahuas all girls and never a fight. I am the leader here . A rott would be adorable too! Next dog for me is an english bulldog though.. wife wants an irish wolfhound for the property.  I would like to train my girls to pull weight..

I wish you lived closer! I need a quailified home for Fiona. My hubby is a bad owner/handler and I need to get her away from him as soon as I can. I love the dog, but she deserves a better home than she currently has.

My problem is 2 fold. I have a alpha b**ch in heat turning 2, which is when the majority of their hormones kick in. The second problem is my hubby not knowing crap about dogs. I made some mistakes, like mixing a Rott with Siberians. But my hubby completely mishandles the rott and NEVER hit a dog, especially not when it's already in fight mode. If he had landed that hit on her she could have turned her aggression on him. Very dumb thing to do. I was already re-homing Fiona for her sake, but now more than ever I need to get her away from my incompitant husband. The majority of the fights happen on his watch. Unfortunately it has happened so much it's now a habit for Dawn to attack, and Fiona has had it with her. I have too. I'd much prefer to keep Fiona and get rid of Dawn. But hubby can't be trusted with Fiona, he is just too clueless about the breed. Also Dawn is in no danger from my hubby, he spoils her rotten, which does make her issue worse.

Before I started taking some of the dogs to agility and conformation classes, we had little to no problems. Now that I'm gone more, the issues have started and escalated at a frightening rate. It's from my husbands incompetence. I need to train him.
Alot of people don't get dogs. Those are the people who get attacked.

yeah i understand bad mixes pitbulls and chihuahuas are not the easiest, when i first moved in the chihuahuas would bark and bite but I took control and dont blame anybody. The dogs dont listen as well to my wife but shes starting to get it. I have been reading the thread I know the story. I lay on top of my dogs a lot I have read it is a good way of asserting your dominance regularly without being aggressive.

I do the same, I tell my dogs to lay belly up. my alpha female is the hardest.

I feel awful for doing this to Fiona. My husband seemed to be getting it with the Siberians and my Belgian. My Belgian, Rascal was already trained when I married my hubby. We kind of split the Siberians between us, but he wanted a dog to share a bond with that Rascal and I have. He picked a Rott. So, me having knowledge and experience with the breed, I looked for one. I found Fiona in a shelter, about to be euthanized. I saved her, brought her home and she was a mans dog, not a woman's. She has the sweetest personality and temperment. Like any Rott, she has an attitude of "leave me alone, I leave you alone. Don't and die." towards other dogs. She don't want to be alpha, she just wants to do her thing. With an experienced owner, she is the best, most obedient girl.

Fiona does not start the fights, Dawn does, but Fiona won't take any crap from her.

I now know my hubby isn't ready for a breed like a Rott, Belgian, Pitt, any guard dog breed. I think it's sad that my kids are better dog handlers than he is, and they are getting better by going to obedience classes. Anyway, I told my hubby that the pack is closed, no more dogs. He needs to learn to handle what we already have.

our chihuahuas are the hardest, i have been doing it to all the pitbulls from the time they were pups and I didnt get to start on the Chihuahuas until 6 years ago and they were already 10+ years old so its understandable.

lol my wife would kill me, I might be the leader of the dog pack but she is the leader of our pack and I have been informed that I can't have anymore animals until I finish her house.

Probably just as well, Fiona and Pitts could be a bad mix. Both are strong breeds and can do some major damage. I feel Fiona would do best in a single dog home, maybe with a cat as she simply adores kittens!
