Sleeping in strange places

he does obey commands, and is perfect with everything a dog could be perfect at, except going under the bed

Does he get crated before you leave? Upset that you leave?

Or, it could simply be that he likes the dark/close den he has made under the bed. Block it off so he can't get under there
