Slight rant..

I completely agree he was out of line to trespass as well as his reaction could have been more apologetic ...but you're missing the compliment that he thinks you live in such a beautiful place that he wanted to bring a bit of that home with him. Yes, he was trespassing, but there was a gracious way to handle this on both ends.
I love my privacy, but I also take photos, solely from the road, ask permission, basic respect, etc and just think that he must have really liked what you are blessed enough to see everyday.

I don't mind people taking pictures. Heck, I take them all the time. There is a place to pull off the road, but my yard isn't it. More importantly I don't want someone getting hurt on my property because even though they shouldn't be there I'd probably be liable..

Its true I have often heard stories about bulls going after people and them getting hurt and blaming the owner which just makes no sense at all. That is just weird sara. Another thing that worries me is that some people don't know the #1 rule of being on a farm if a gate was closed when you found it it better get closed behind you and closed when you leave.

Just give him the shotgun warning! People have no respect anymore

I would have asked him to leave immediately. That's really annoying.

Sara- I've seen pics of covered bridges back east, maybe even yours. Can I chase your cows around and take pics of the bridge when I head over to visit my sister in Ohio next year?

I cant stress that enough, at our co fair, we have all these people going through thte hog barn. I set up the gates to get my pig to the wash racks, then some idiot opens one or two, and doesnt put them back how they were. My pig is on the wrong side of the barn, and out of the barn

I know how you feel - I went over to my barn one day because I was hearing noises over there. There was a dad with 5 little girls (about 6 years old) petting my horses! My horses are not stabled - they just roam free on our property. When I asked what he was doing, he said the girls just wanted to pet the horses, and when I asked how he got onto my property, he said they just climbed the fence! Then he acted all huffy when I told him he needed to leave! Cannot believe the stupidity of people. Had one of those girls been hurt because of his poor judgement, we can all guess who would have been sued.
