Hi all -
I have a 3-4 week old Bourbon Red who's been limping for the past few days; I suspected slipped tendon, but could not isolate the tendon until this morning and yep, that's what it is. I see that some people use vetwap, with or without cotton-swab splints, to hold the tendon in place. Storey's recommends magnesium supplementation, and maybe other supplements.
My question: has anyone had good success with these measures? I'm not ready to give up, and am on my way to the feed store now, but I'd like to think I'm not simply prolonging the sorrow.
