Slipped Tendon/ Swollen hock.... Splint Ideas???

A friend has a chick with a slipped tendon. The chick is about 2 weeks old, but it has been like that since 1 day of age. Has anyone ever made a splint for this sort of problem? Is it likely to improve if immobilized for a while? Thanks!!

Apparently there is a way to 'roll' the tendon back. I've never had to do this, so I'm including some threads for you to consult-

I already did a search and read most of those posts. I can actually slip the tendon back into place, but it won't stay there. I was just wondering if anyone had sucessfully splinted these.
