you better get those hot poppers on the wire quick!!

plus I thought it was slightly cooler in Florida in december..

I couldn't find my glasses and was walking around in a circle, hubby said they were on my face..lololol

Cooler Than What? The Face Of The Sun? Another 86 Degree Day (when Will It End?) I Was Sweatin Like A Plow Mule While Out Feeding The Birds Tonight At Almost 9pm! Gawd I Hate This Heat And Humidity. A Lil -20 Doesnt Sound So Bad Right Now--- And Yes I Know It Gets Old Real Quick! I Didnt Always Live In Fla.... And I'll Be Looking Forward To The Day When I Dont Live Here Anymore Too!

See, and here I wish I wasn't shivering!! All the dogs are on my feet and they are still cold. Forecast, 6-10 inches before Wensday night. Do you all think fully feathered (cotrunix) quail, in a pen mostly covered with wood, except maybe the face of the pen where the doors are, and with dropping pans on boards beneath the wire would be protection enough in this kind of climate? I guess I could make a "nestbox next to the open pen on each compartment with a light in it so they can go in and stay warm. This is all hypothetical, I am doing some serious thinking on it an' I don't mean the toilet lol. But a couple of my meat rabbits live outside in a large open pen with only a roof over it, there is a nestbox that they can hop into that's full of straw but they choose to stay out all the time, unless it's really cold (10 degrees to -15..so far) Animals aclimatize, right?

I Think They'd Be Fine. If You Were Really Worried Say Sub Zero Then Maybe A Heat Light For Them--- But No Nest Box. Nesting Material + Heat= Big Jump In Homeowners Premium---- Cause They're Gonna Make Back All That Money They Had To Put Out On That Fire Claim Y'all Had?
