I lost all of my quail a few weeks ago. The roo snuggled his ladies to death then he died two days later.

Bummer, sorry to hear about the quail.

If it's any consolation its been so cold down here that i lost 2 over the weekend and 1 thats rehabbing in the house-- now remember we're talking central florida here! it snowed and we had sleet saturday morning--- 06:30 the thermometer registered a weltering 17 degress! I've had 3-4 inches of ice covering my koi pond for almost 2 wks and its still there.... kinda funny to watch the fish swimming under it!
