Slow Night Here In Quailville

The 2 noisy roos got a new home in my basement. Much better. I didn't mind hearing them BUT they were having crowing wars. I'd rather they not be heard at the neighbors place. It's best not to stir up trouble, ROFL. Regardless of the legality of poultry we could still end up with a noise ordinance issue...

So, the two noisy boys now can crow at each other with a good extra noise buffer between them and the outside world.

Well, I'm down to under 100 finally. Including the breeders I have 87. I have a pen of A & M's that I plan to get a breeding quad from and the rest will go to camp Frigidaire. I have 2 pens of Bob Whites that I would sell in a heart beat if somebody wanted to come and get them. They are still very young and have a way to go in the growth department. I think there is about 20 in all. If somebody wants to come and get them, I'll sell them or do a trade.

No eggs. Out of season for one and second I have the breeders in the freezer. I don't plan to raise Bob Whites again and would love to send these someplace else instead of having to process them in 3 months. I don't enjoy getting cut up by their claws. They are wiggly little buggars. The cortunix are alot easier. I already sold 17 at the auction last week. If I still have these when we go to auction again they are going with us. A couple of young boys bought the other ones.

I personally think it gives them character, the quail as well as kids...sometimes.

I DUNNO ABOUT THAT..... I THINK SOME CHARACTERS WOULD BE BETTER OFF SWALLOWED AT CONCEPTION. IT JUST REALLY DEPENDS ON THE CHARACTER I SUPPOSE
