I Should Imagine To Someone Not Well Versed In Or Just Starting Out With Firearms Its About As Confusing As Quail Were To You When You 1st Came On Here. There's Alot To It And If You've Never Been Exposed It Gets Confusing And Complicated....

Now That We Have Her Armed Lets Get The Following Stuff Done 1st And Foremost--- Firearm Safety, Then Proficiency With Whatever She Has, Then Accuracy, And Lastly We Can Start Swelling Her Brain With All The Minor Trivial Details...gotta Crawl Before You Walk And Walk Before You Run...

Kid I Expect That You, Like My Offspring, Have Been Raised With Firearms And Hunting... Not Everyone Is That Lucky

The guy who donated it to me has no clue either...I am learning...didn't shoot anyone but the cans were nice and gone

I have been born and raised in Chicago so give this lady a chance

Alex Dear... It Should Be Marked On The Side Of The Barrel. You'll Need To Know For Future Reference When You Need To Buy More Ammo

For The Most Part, Rifles Are Calibers Like .22lr Or .22s Or .22 S-l-lr (in This Ase The Letters Demonate Casing Size... .22 Is A Rimfire Cartridge Available In S= Short, L= Long, Or Lr= Long Rifle They Also Make A .22magnum Ya Kinda Need To Know For Sure To Get The Right Ammunition

Shot Guns Are Predominately Measured In "gauge" Sizes/// Ie, 28ga, 20ga, 16ga, 12 Ga.. The Lowwer The Number The Bigger The Bang
smile.png
Some Shotguns Are Chambered For Varying Length Shells As Well. 2 3/4 Inch Is The Old Standard, 3 In Magnum And 3 1/2 In Magnum Are Other Possibilities--- Something Interesting The Size Is Indicative Of How Many Exact Fit Brass Balls It Takes To Add 1 Pound Of Weight... So A 12 Gauge Takes 12 Brass Balls That Fit Inside The Barrel Exactly To Add 1 Lb Of Weight.. The Only Exception To This Is The .410 Which Is Actually A Caliber (there's Always 1 In The Bunch) Anyhow Its Internal Measurements Are .410 Inches

Rifles And Pistols Predominately Fire A Single Solid Bullet Where Shotguns Fire A Shot Cup Full Of Many Lead Pellets In A Variety Of Sizes Which After Exiting The Weapon Spread Out In A Circular Pattern Increasing The Area Of Destruction

In Most Weapons Created Since The Mid 1800's The Caliber Or Gauge Size And Chamber Length Is Imprinted Upon The Barrel... In Most Cases The Left Hand Side Of The Barrel Near The Guns Body

Oh That Whole Chicago Thing? Yeah Doesnt Work So Well Since Thats The Town That Made The Tommy Gun Famous When Used By Mobsters During The Prohibition Days... Suffice To Say Chicago Has Gun History

JJ I have a question for you, do you know anything about a Winchester model 37 22? I Got it a few years back and I'm pretty sure it said model 37. Can't really see it good. I've been using it to shoot frogs.

The Tommy Gun, Thompson Center's A1 Model Small Machine Gun, Commonly Referred To As A "chicago Typewriter" 1 Of The 1st Small Machine Guns Made In This Country, It Was Clip Or Drum Magazine Fed Fully Automatic .45acp Caliber Ball Of Mean With A Maximum Rate Of Fire Of 600+ Rounds Per Minute. Made Famous By The Mob And Pretty Boy Floyd, Bonnie And Clyde And The Likes Who Carried Them In Cello Cases

... Went On To Be Used By Law Enforcement And The Fbi As Well As Many Us Army Infantry Carried Them During Wwii
