Don't you hate that? None of my friends are close, I moved here about 1 1/2 years ago, and don't get out much. But of course when I want to talk to one of my friends, they are never available. They'd rather call me when I'm too busy to talk, that's just the way it seems to work out.

I live in a very rural area, the local town has absolutely nothing even remotely like entertainment. There used to be a pool hall/game room, but it's closed; the movie theater closed this summer, and it's a dry county

The nearest 'not dry' county is at least 1/2 hour from here, and I don't drive

So I'm kind of stuck.

No way to get any place, and nothing to do once I got there

Ruth Chris is VERY pricey. Not just pricey. But, very, very good food!!!!

Very good but pricey ... but not as bad as Morton's Steakhouse, took the wife their two years ago for anniversery, dinner and drinks $350.00 with tip....OUCH!!!!

We were going to try Ruth's Chris when we were in Scottsdale, but they were not set to open for an hour and we were starving. We went down the road to Sweet Tomatoes instead.

If you're ever in town, go off the beaten path to La Fonda's. (Shhhhhh....... If I can't get a seat there because a bunch of highway yahoos are there, I'll be really mad at you.)

We have a rule here. Any Mexican restaurant that is open on Sunday isn't worth going to.

I'd go out of my way for good mexican, most places around here a yucky, just like chines. good thing I can cook.

shelleyd2008 I get what your saying, I don't drive, was home schooled, still live at home in the midle of nowhere, and of my 2 good friends that I talk to 1 is sick like me

and the other lives a good hour away.... I looking forward to the winter rodeos cuz my brother rides bulls, and I'll get to go out every other weekend at least, but for now it's wishful thinking
