It's not XP (and probably not chrome). What sort of security software are your machines behind? what sort of connection? What else is running simultaneously?) Got a canary in the coal mine `ancient box' assay, here: P43.2GHz/4GBmem/1.5MbDSL/WinXPSP3/`Chrome': (3 other machines on LAN with plenty of activity - other than BYC): Here is page loading time from a bit ago (about 3.5 sec):thebritt wrote: I use a computer @ work. Has WindowsXP. Ancient, I know, but works for everything else. Last time we ran Chrome, the whole thing dogged down considerably. I take it we must upgrade the whole thing? We have Microsoft security (that's what it says on our desktop), and a high-speed internet connection (Suddenlink). I'm not running anything else simultaneously. Wish I could understand all the info you've given, but I'm quite computer-illiterate as far as tech info goes.
