Slumped tail and limp

I'm like @FlyingNunFarm the green on the leg looks to be a bruise. Chicken bruises are green.

The tail down could be from leg pain/bruising, but I would give her a good going over for any swelling/bloat of the abdomen and while your at it, may as well check her for lice/mites.

If she is agreeable, caging her for a couple of days in the run to limit her activity may help her heal and not aggravate the leg - this will allow you to monitor her more closely. You can also offer her an aspirin solution to see if that helps - dosage is 81mg aspirin to 1quart of water. You can sweeten the solution with a touch of honey if you wish since aspirin is usually bitter.

At 8yrs old, does she still lay eggs?

We think she still lays because there are 2 other hens and we get 3 eggs a day sometimes however the other two are only 1 year old.

I would watch her closely, at 8yrs old it's good that she is still laying, but older hens can sometimes start to have difficulty laying eggs.

As for the green on the leg, if it's a bruise, then it should start to fade over the course of a few days - like it does in humans.
