Everyone this is Xena Warrior Princess. She/he is a 12wk Silver Laced Wyandotte. I’m new to chickens but I’m suspicious now that Xena might be a Warrior Prince. I don’t know if this is relevant but in the sun there is a slight green to her tail feathers. Always active and very curious about everything. I’m really enjoying her/him no matter what. Oh and she is a hatchery chick that is supposed to be a female. What does everyone think? Go!

Pretty pullet. :love Laced cockerels exhibit patchiness of plumage, namely in the shoulder region.

Females' saddle and tail feathers can absolutely curve slightly, as long as they're rounded in shape. The thing to look for is pointy-edged male specific plumage.

How pointed to roo hackle and saddle feathers get? Xena's neck feathers look slightly pointed to me, but I don't really know. Her tail is really what got me second guessing if she was a pullet or not.
