Small Cabinet Incubator

Not trying to be so DISAGreeful, but the Little Giant egg turners Don't fit in the Repti-Pro 5000 incubators. You can buy custom made egg turners for this incubator, but you can't fit the LG turner in it. If you are the type that likes to tinker with things you could cut the Little Giant egg turner down a bit, and put it back together and fit it in the ReptiPro.

I agree that the LG turners DO NOT fit in the reptipros, not even close & when you're doing a dry hatch like I do, it doesn't matter to me if I lose humidity 3 times a day & when humidity matters you don't turn the eggs.

It seems several people think the reptipros aren't forced air incubators, THEY ARE. They have a built in fan that actually can even be adjusted by 2 settings, one high & one low.

I DID IT!! I DID IT!! I DID IT!!!!!

I bought the Reptipro and I went ahead and got it with the 2 turners. BoooYAAAA!!! I'll call it my Christmas, New Years, Birthday, and Mother's Day gift all in one. I emailed the guy and he let me but it off his website with free shipping!!

Yo lucky little chicken. You will need to mount a fan in it though, because one of the big problems with these incubators, is that the fan is also wired to the thermostat, so when the thermostat goes off the fan does too, so a small PC fan in the top corner of the incubator should be great. I remember a thread about this problem, and I made a small picture I think I still have it.

The picture I drew says Exo-Terra incubator, but it is about the same as the Repti-Pro incubator.

Well, what I meant was that the fan shuts off with the heating element every time the thermostat cycles off. I was saying that when this happens there is a 2 degree fluctuation in the incubator from top to bottom, if you put a PC fan in the top, it will circulate the air at all times, and the fluctuation goes away.

It's kind of odd how they're the same incubator, only different colors, isn't it lol? I almost like the black better but the reviews for it on amazon weren't that great, so maybe some how the black effects the ability to regulate temps...long shot lol but I don't know why it would perform any different.

I actually didn't know the fan was only on while the incubator is heating itself up...still though I wouldn't worry about putting a second fan in it because mine is very rarely not running, I've watched it stop heating then within a 30-60 seconds later it's on again. I don't think it's off enough to not be considered a forced air incubator or really needs a 2nd fan but that's just me. That's the great thing about this forum, there's so many different opinions & options given by people that have experience with what you're going through so it helps you to figure out whatever works for you & helps your hatch rates (=

CONGRATS! So glad you got one & to get one with 2 turners is great! I think you're going to be very happy with it, just keep in mind the couple things I said in my first post about temps & the tray holes/water tray...good luck!!!!!

Exactly!, I don't like to disagree with people, but if I think that my opinion will help someone, then I will share it. Good luck with your new inucubator JenBirdRansom. I hope you have great hatches.

So did you order the one from the link or somewhere else? If the one on the link is a good one, I can't see passing up the price.
