We have 3 geese: 2 French Toulouse and 1 Toulouse. They have been laying for almost 4 weeks and some eggs are larger than others but all have been larger than duck eggs. Tonight one of the geese laid an egg slightly smaller than a duck egg. Has anybody ever experienced an occasional much smaller egg from their geese or perhaps our smaller goose is finally starting to lay. Wondering....The French Tououse lays 35-50 eggs per year and the Toulouse lays 25-30 per year. Could that mean that the Toulouse laying season begins later than the French Toulouse so she's just getting started? Or, perhaps it's a "fart" egg or some other aberration?

Did you crack it open fart eggs usually don’t have a yolk. Very normal for both actually laying smaller eggs when they first start or just ever so often an egg will be smaller than the last. How are the eggs looking now?
