And the pets stores care sheets are ABSOLUTELY HORRENDOUS!

Sorry I was gone I was out doing horse chores and putting those pullets to bed the REFUSE to roost In the hen house and only roost on their favorite branch, in the same order everynight. I have been trying to teach them to go in the hen house for 2 weeks straight every night but they refuse to do it by themselves. I swear the head hen, Joy, must have something to do with it. I’ve seen her refuse to let them in, standing at the door.

Yes! O my god I just found THIS PIECE OF GARBAGE THAT I JUST WANT TO BURN on the internet marketed towards GUINEA PIGS AND RABBITS- this is not even suitable for a dwarf hamster what are these pet store brands thinking? This is not acceptable!

A large CNC grid cage, not huge but it’s large enough to take up half of a wall in a large room, longer than it is wide.

Apparently it happens with rabbits as well, they sometimes eat their babies.

I've only seen it happen when the babies were already dead.
Baby rabbits can die for lots of reasons, and only some of those can be prevented.

But the mother tries to clean up the nest: eat the afterbirth, eat all bedding with blood on it, eat any dead bunnies. That way there is nothing left to attract predators.

I won't say a doe "never" eats a bunny alive, but I will say it's not common.
