Small turkeys

Hi all. I will be a first-time turkey mom come spring. That being said, I am looking to get a small heritage breed since there are only two of us humans. I like the size of the white midgets and royal palms, but would like my birds with color. Is there any other heritage breed that you would suggest to cross with one of the above? And to keep them small, is it more important that the hen or the Tom be the Midget or Palm? Thanks in advance, becky

For the health of the hen being bred it is very helpful that the tom be on the smaller side.
