Smallest Egg Ever?

I personally, don't think washing the egg before consumption is needed. If you must, use warm water. If you are giving them or selling them to people, washing with WARM water is a good idea, but you don't have too.

But don't eggs have salmonella on them? Not to mention they come out of the same hole that the poop does. Can't you get sick doing that?
LOL....now you're stepping into everybody who makes a "raw egg smoothie" or eats "raw eggs" world. There's a whole group of people who eat/drink raw eggs and I haven't read any articles of a ton of people dyin. I'm personally not a fan of a raw egg though.....

Oh my stars hahaha that is adorable, and I would be squealing and running in the house to show my husband- I would be delighted to get an egg even that small!!! The wait from baby chick to laying feels like an eternity!!! :fl
Get a bantam and then you'll have tiny eggs to show your husband! I have a bantam and hers are teeny tiny!!

Being half Japanese, I've eaten raw (store baught) eggs my entire life. Not once have I gitten sick from raw (or cooked) eggs. Although I have gotten extremely sick from cooked "foods" from places like KFC.

My grandfather was eating at KFC once, and as he bit into a chicken nugget, he found some intestine in it as well. He never ate there again. Gross!!!

Thanks, good to know! I'm glad I won't get sick if I forget to wash an egg one day.

I totally was! It's one of the cutest things I've seen from my chickens, and they do a lot of cute stuff! :lau You could also try the Serama breed, they're the tiniest chickens in the world, I believe. :D

I'm hoping to get myself some Bantam's, but I think I'll be settling for some EE's. :p Hoping for some tiny pullets!

One of my girls started laying (at least one other laying "rubber eggs") a week ago Monday. Her first egg has actually been her largest thus far, although still much smaller than a normal sized egg. Ate four of six layed (two more since) yesterday, small but yummy.

My girls started laying a bit ago, too, and all their eggs have been kinda small. As long as they're laying, I can't say they're freeloading.:lol: And they're definitely yummy!

Gross!!! :sick:sick After that, I don't think I'll ever eat at KFC, either. I've probably eaten there 3 times? Not very many for sure.

To blow out an egg you put a pin hole on each end and blow in one hole so the egg comes out the other. :) It takes some lung capacity but once it gets going it isnt hard.

Sorry, follow up question! :p I haven't tried it yet, but is the yolk supposed to come out, or just the egg white? Will the yolk rot in there, or just shrivel up and disappear? lol Would rather find out from someone who does it than from it rotting wherever I put it in a few weeks. :sick Made that mistake once when my grandpa somehow lost an egg and it got smashed - left the kitchen smelling like rotten egg for maybe a month! We tried all kinds of things to get rid of it. Who knows if it's really gone, maybe I'm just used to it.:sick
