Very true. I've seen pigs who are smart enough to know exactly what you want them to do and then figure out how not to do it. Can make you feel pretty stupid, Lol. Dogs can do this, too, so it would not surprise me to learn that chickens can do the same. I just don't ask much of my chickens so I haven't come across this phenomenon yet. I have a dog that's spooky smart, but he is a bugger to train. Give me a dumb dog any day for training.

I agree my teeny Phoenix hen and my Spitz hen are the smartest. Dumbest by far are polish and the Pavlovskaya. Maybe the crests suck the brains out of them.

When I was a kid there were places you could play tic tic toe against a chicken. The chicken won more often then not. They were always white leghorns.

I got to play this once, too. It was pretty cool.

Not really. Some crests have vaulted skulls, but not all. And the vault is almost always sealed, not like the crested ducks
