Yeah, I'm sure it's all her. She's the only one singing the egg song and squatting.

I have 3 - 6month old pullets......still pale about the comb and waddles tho.

The combs and waddles on my BO, BA and SLW are definitely red... the EE, not so much.

In other news, the SLW that everyone thought was a cockerel laid an egg this morning.


I'm sure it was her, because then later when I went out and reached down, but she and Sunny squatted. Also, the egg was much smaller than Sunny's was. So, Yay! I don't have to eat Florentine! Just her eggs.

The bad news of the morning though, is that the outlet for my water heater failed. The water was frozen solid. But the heater worked when plugged into the garage outlet, so my dad is going to come and take a look at it later.

OMG! I'm so happy! Congrats to Florentine!!!! What a surprise!

It's so weird now to not be looking for signs of her becoming a potentially aggressive rooster. After the first full week of laying, the two girls gave us 11 decent eggs and they taste wonderful!

So I lit up their coop for Christmas. Pics in the next post.
