Snack time

Lol :lau I promise no fries thanks and I'll look at your blog. I just had show my boy that I was wright.
You have no idea! - We were sitting on our front porch, eating our home made french fries (thick cut, good oil, no salt) when by accident one of them fell to the ground. Our ducks were fighting over that »big white worm«, so we gave them a little more.
Properly made french fries can be a rare treat for ducks, not that junk food that is sold at Mac Wendies or King Donalds ;), but good home-made stuff. our ducks love potatoes in any form. If we eat fries we have five ducks sitting at the porch, following every piece from plate to mouth, almost comical!
The same thing as with us humans: A little junk-food here and there won't kill you.

Don't be surprised if your ducks LOVE something for a month and then decide "nope, no more". It is rather frustrating. Our ducks had grapes and loved them. they would trample each other to be next in line. Then, one day, they turned their noses up at them. Right now, only the Muscovies truly go nuts over romaine and green leaf.

Everyone raves about peas. Ours will not touch them. They literally spit them out and look at us like we should have known better. We tried corn, both fresh and blanched. Nope. We've tried cucumber, carrots, pumpkin, chopped and slightly softened. Nope. Green beans... Nope. Apple... Nope

The only thing they want: Cherry tomatoes, cut in fourths and watermelon. Watermelon is about done for the season, so we aren't sure what we are going to try next. I have finicky ducks. It really is quite frustrating.

Well the fries my boy wanted to give Billie come from a bag I bought at Walmart but she didn't get any. What it was was we gave some to our dogs and she looked at us like were is mine.
