My 4 year old male ball python passed away two weeks ago ;( I'm not for sure why... He was healthy, well fed, and his cage was always clean! I miss him! R.I.P Scooter

Hey, dont let this thread die! Here's a funny snake story for ya'll.
One day, I was out near the chicken coop and I hear a rattle like sound. Well, my mom was with me and my first impulse is to grab the snake. But my mom runs inside screaming "It's a rattlesnake!" Dad comes out in boxers and a shirt and a shotgun and points it at the snake. But then he realizes that it is just a harmless bullsnake. He edges up to it and gets it to crawl into a bucket. Then we released into a safer spot in the woods. I have caught grass snakes, bull snakes, and garder snakes by hand. I even caught a water moccasin by hand. Only because he had just eaten a mouse and because I didn't know that he was a Water Moccasin. Lol.

Right now I HATE HATE HATE Alaska... No reptiles. At all. WHATSOEVER. I can't have a pet snake (all my reptiles die DX). and I can't even catch any wild ones to hold D:

Today I decided to put a couple of plants in the ground, started to dig the first hole and out popped this teeny cutie. So very happy I didn't get him/her with the shovel. It's a baby Black Racer. I'm going to have to catch some very small Brown Anoles for this one.

Do you catch them then keep them as pets, or just like to feed them for a while? XD
