I have a 10 week old bantam rooster that started constantly sneezing like every few minutes about a week and a half ago. Slight panting but it is getting really hot lately. They are not living outside yet. They live in a big cage right near an open window. They have only been outside a handful of times in a little play area. None of my other four chickens are sneezing or mouth breathing. The rooster also has no discharge from nose or beak. I have been rubbing vet rx on beak and giving a couple drops a day but I dont think sneezing has slowed. What could be the cause of this? I have been doing research but nothing really makes sense.

Where did he come from, and did the others all come from the same place? It doesn’t sound like infectious bronchitis virus, since the others would probably be sneezing as well, but that is the most common respiratory disease. So I would look at dust in feed or the bedding, mold, or another environmental cause. Are his nostrils clear and clean? Do you ever see any bubbles in one eye or a droppy or swollen eyelid? If you start to see another sneezing often, then I would consider IB as a cause.

We got them all from tractor supply when they were babies. There have been no other symptoms besides sneezing and occasional panting but more so when it is hotter. It has been raining for past week so temps have been pretty nice and I haven't noticed any panting.
