sneezing

I have a roo sneezing, no other signs and all poo is normal. Will Auramiacine(SP?) ok to give? The store didn't have Terramiacine.

I would not give him antibiotics at all, especially if he has no other symptoms. Birds will sneeze from time to time because they can react to environmental stimuli just like we can-dust or ammonia buildup in the coop, chemical smells from new plywood, smoke in the air, etc.

He is sneezing at least once a minute. Is that still OK?

Well, he may have something stuck up his nose, like a piece of feed. Honestly, if it was me, I'd check that out first. And I'd wait a day or two. If you really think he may be contagious, I'd separate him, at least till you are sure he isn't.

I notice mine sneeze every day but usually it's when they are eating treats like oatmeal, yogurt, tomatos or melon, anything with liquid in it.

Mine tend to sneeze when they pig out, especially one hen. Check his nares (nostrils) and see if they're clear. I just hesitate to medicate chickens with antibiotics when there may be nothing an antibiotic will affect. It build resistance to them and if you really need them to work, they probably won't. Of course, I personally will not use antibiotics for anything respiratory anyway, but that's just my own choice.

I can't figure out if he is sneezing or coughing...I think it is a sneeze, because he isn't opening his beak when he does it. Maybe I need to do a nasal flush.

a nasal flush is when you take some staralized water and squirt it in the nostril. You want to keep your birds head down so that he/she doesn't swallow the fluid/object in nostril. You can get more info on featherfanciers.com, just do a search for it.
