So creeped out, sitting here alone...get in here if you're still up!

When it started to rain real hard earlier I'd covered up part of the chicken pen real quick to keep part of the run dry, intending to uncover it before I turned in, but I'm not going out there alone now so the girls are gonna have the added heat overnight from the cover. Something just bumped into the window by me...

I'm sure I sound like a little kid right now but I'm about 50 years old and a pretty tough ol' bird, usually...but I wish my parents were here right now.

My mom passed away a few years ago and my dad passed when I was 5 years old. I'm the youngest but have always taken care of everyone in my family, and still do most of them, most of the time, anyway. I just double checked all the doors and windows after something bumped the window. That could have been a night bird hitting it or something. I want to go check things out but I'm not gonna go check alone. The people that are usually on the grounds are gone this weekend...wouldn't ya know it.

The heavy cologne thing is just so odd...2 nights in a row now??...and the 1st night the person that was the one totally spooked by it was a big tough male that fears nothing.

When the odd things happened in the barn I figured there was a human behind it, but then after keeping things under lock and key 24/7 along with other buildings here, strange things still happened that left us all scratching our heads.

That's so funny you say that because one of my friends in AU just now called to leave message and was surprised I was up. It is late here...a few after 3am my time. He visits every year and stays with us for several months. I didn't mention any of this to him.

Lydia&Andrew :

What happened in the barn when it was locked?

The same things that happened that made me padlock doors...inside the barn cage doors were opened and then latched CLOSED after animals were let out (cages that animals cannot open or latch) and always they took care to close the barn door after them after they did their stuff, things moved from the top of cages and stacked neatly on the ground 7+ feet below, cage doors completely opened and left open, feeders and water bottles tossed around, so many things...the barn even has wire on the floor to prevent anything from digging in.

The barn is back in a hard to get to secluded spot that's draped over with huge trees...not easy to get to or even see when standing just a few feet from it...a narrow, tree over-hung path to it is barely viewable 3' from where the path starts...the barn is totally hidden from sight & can't be seen even if standing just a few feet from it. The trees hide everything. The area outside the barn where other animals are housed is just as secluded with a 35' long, narrow path to it...can't see it unless you walk right up to it...that's the area that had the overpowering cologne smell the 1st night. Like the barn area, it's totally blocked in except for the narrow path and an area to the side of it that humans couldn't navigate without a lot of noise and probably cussing, lol...cats or squirrels could, though.
