I got mine from Klf73 , they look pink to me anyways maybe im just color blind. Im hatching them for a friend that wants colored egg layers. klf73 was kind enough to send me some and they are very very beutifull. The blue eggs are pretty to and the green ones .

At day 13 I have in another bator:
peafowl (india blue, blue pied, and white)
Toulouse geese


Coming in the mail I have some assorted Silkies.
I also have Button Quail eggs from a generous BYCer

Phew. Lots for my first time, huh?

12 green pheasants
6 blueback pheasants
6 melanistic pheasants

14 Mottled Javas on day 19 in the hatcher
18 Silkies from 2 seperate people
12 Standard Black Cochins

Hopefully these will go well. My first hatch didn't do too well. Out of 8 eggs, 1 was infertile, 4 were quitters, 1 not sure what happened, and 2 hatched. Of those 2, 1 died.

However, the one that did make it is a gorgeous cuckoo silkie with a beautifully vaulted skull!

Incubating is so much fun...but so addictive!

I forgot that I also have 4 serama and 1 OEG in there. I can fit 2 or 3 more of the tiny eggs if they lay anymore for me today.

I have 2 yellow pheasants hatching and 5 more cooking.
10 coturnix hatching and 9 more cooking.
14 chicken eggs I found under setting ducks cooking. Saw this chicken setting on top of the ducksetting on her nest-- decided to check-- found 8 there! Checked the other duck nest 6 there!! Put those in the bator now must always check duck nests.
10 bobwhite eggs cooking.
and 1 pea egg laid to late to ship.
I will set some more bobwhites to night and coturnix. There are empty holes!!
All are due to hatch this month. Dates are on the eggs-I forget it is so staggered!! Susan

I've only got Button Quail in my incubators at the moment.

I'm considering hatching some more chickens.
My dream chickens are Black Copper Marans. I've been trying to win eggs on Ebay but they always go for more than I can afford. Someday.... *sigh*

I'm new here. I ended up here while searching for button quail color identification charts with photos. I can't find a good source darnit.
