You are not alone...
Now, granted, the rabbits are his project... there are 4 adults and 8 babies in the garage. But there are 3 brooder boxes with a dozen ducklings, 2 large kennel crates with MANY chicks (some of which are learning to crow at 4am
), a 2x4" wired brooder with 3 dozen teenage quail, and a 4 level highrise (1x3' each) brooder with about 75 week-old quail in the garage as well. I try to keep up with it, but until the temps warm up a little more I can't move them outside. On his behalf, he only
once a weekend about how dirty the garage is (dust and shavings and "M&Ms" all over), and we do a big cleaning once a weekend, usually, to keep up with it and I do it on a daily basis. But it still smells like a petting zoo, no matter how much you keep on it, and our problem is that our bedroom is above the garage, and there's no door and the odors waft up through the heating vents.
But what are you gonna do? You could tell him that it could be worse, and he could be married to me...
Hang in there!
