I thought my Igor was large at about 40 lbs, he last weighed in at maricopa county fair in phx as at 37lbs, that was April 2012 and he was about 10 months old. Now today Dec 2013 I read about your 80lb bird and think Igor is or was in great shape, easily getting around backyard that he shares with 6 hen chickens. His summer of 2013 was spent in a shallow container of water we called his "spa" where he kept his feet in great shape. He developed a sinus infection and has become weak since dec 24th. I came to NYC to start a thread, seeking advice about energy food or see if what I am doing will help him out. Enjoy your pet , I have to say a turkey makes a great companion, more than I ever would have guessed.
In Az they need a good high speed fan, cool water to stand in and mine was happiest this summer that way
