I had no idea what you and @Mother of Chaos were talking about so I consulted my trusty atlas. It is happily resistant to being hacked, and immune to any name changes since 2001. Somewhere I have a much older one I could consult.I don't see that that's necessarily a problem. Maps don't usually include "the" in the name of somewhere, even when it would be used in speech or writing (the North Sea, the Hebrides etc)
Seems unequivocal.
Also makes sense as the general location is Orkney Is which is made up of Mainland and proximate islands.
Never knew that until just now, even though my Dad was posted to Orkney in WWII in some kind of precursor of radar outfit.
Orkney tax: Multiple times a day Mr. Chips inspects the nest boxes and calls for Geronimo.
Then he stands outside and waits while she examines every piece of bedding. Sometimes he gets bored and crows while he is outside and they chat to each other.
She rarely stays in there long and so far no sign of an egg.
