So I want a lot of ducks but.....

I have never had ducks and really really want some. I want way to many different breeds and egg colors. How many ducks do you think I should start with? Also what do you think the good drake to duck ratio is? I don't want any over mating. Also if you want to vote on what duck breeds I should get I have a poll: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/poll-what-duck-breeds-should-i-get.1408006/

Yeah of course I would order sexed 4 to 1 ?
Yes. Do you have a secure coop? Do you need brooding advice? I wouldn't recommend more than 10 to start. 5 would probably be best. If you get a boy you can always take up hatching to add to your flock.

Next is think about how much money you want to spend. Easy to spend $2000 on duck run and house, especially if you cant do it yourself, a large breed of duck can eat about 4 bags a year, for me that's over $100 per duck. Also think about what your going to do with all the eggs? In the end its probably better to start with a small number of ducks and expand later.

Already have coop and run so don't need to worry about that, though I'm doing an expansion soon. I've heard that duck eggs are good for baked goods and my mom what's to make pasta
