Yup, that's what she looks like. Although her "ears" or is it "muff" sticks out more. We did find the owner on Friday but lucky for me they didn't want her back. They said she was a chick their son had brought home around Easter time and he quickly lost interest. I guess that makes her around 2 months old? She has been housed in a rabbit hutch and had free roam of the backyard until she started escaping on a regular basis. They were going to build a pen for her but they said since I already had a pen and I offered to keep her they agreed to give her to me.

The pen I have her in is an 8'x8' with 19 guage hardware cloth sides and a sand bottom. The cage was orginally built to house squirrels and birds so I had to remove some of the smaller branches to give her more space to roost on the larger branches. I still need to build her a nest box, she is currently using a cat carrier for a nest box. I went to the feed store this weekend and got her a feeder, waterer, hay and chick starter.

She seems to tolerate staying in the cage but I would like to give her time to wander our backyard when we are home. We have a privacy fenced backyard but I'm sure she could still get over the fence if she wanted. Is it advisable to clip her wings? Would she still be able to get up on the brances in her cage to roost?
