Found a young sparrow who had either hit a wall or was simply dehydrated, so I kept it until it was healthy enough to try and escape, which took about four hours, and set it free as it hated my guts. I nicknamed it Tiny.

As for a Squabble update, he/she is doing well and is even getting shiny neck feathers now!

I'm sure Sparrow Tiny had nothing except for you giving him tender care. ,,,,,,,,,,,, he probably had family waiting for him..

Awwww.... Congrats on the rescue! Glad to see Squabble doing well.

Tiny freaked out whenever I was closer than five feet from it, and bit me both when being rescued and when being released... But that is to be expected of a truly wild bird.
Tiny enjoyed the free seeds and the mealworms especially though.

Also I had to crate Squabble while I had Tiny around, as the daft dodo wouldn’t leave the tiny bird alone. Squabble was absolutely fascinated by it and kept circling the cage Tiny was in and even jumping atop the cage, which just stressed the tiny bean out even more.
Squabble didn’t seem to understand that other birds could be scared of him/her and was trying to get close enough to try and preen the sparrow like he/she preens my other pet birds.

Been a while as things have been a tad busy. However Squabble has been growing up wonderfully and has even gone broody! He is sitting on two serama chicken eggs as he was constantly nesting and broadcasting for eggs to be laid in it, so... I gave him two fertile eggs.
Also looks like he is a t-check rather than a barred as the light V's have become more defined as he grew up. ^^
