Crowing
Well that’s a different story, I guess. My cat is not declawed. He has injured his claws over the years. I hope this clears up some of the discussion. It is his most common injury to have a claw bent out 90 degrees from normal.

If that leaves you speechless, you must be pretty sheltered. This leaves me speechless. I sat here thinking, trying to look at both sides. You don't know why claw monster has lost it's claws over the years. Seems if the owner didn't want claws he would have completely declared all at once, not 1 claw at a time. Your response, "cruel", was knee jerk reaction. What happened to respect? Respect for others.
Exactly. Not to mention that it can cause an array of health problems.JFTR I would never declaw a cat they need those weapons. A declawed cat is a useless cat. They probable can not even catch mice like that.
It is extremely cruel. Educate yourself.....it's not that cruel. They do it under sedation. It's not recommended to declaw outdoor cats, or to remove the claws from their hind legs. I've also never been inclined to declaw my cats, apparently neither has the OP.
Ok.It is extremely cruel. Educate yourself.
