I'm a nuzzler... not a kisser... I'll blow kisses and make kissing noises... and they coo back... pretty darn cute!

I have a quaker parrot that makes kissing noises when I call him "pretty bird"... Which he is. But one time, he pulled one of my eye lashes out, so I don't let the birds get to close to my face.

I think as long as we don't FRENCH kiss our chickens it is pretty unlikely that salmonella will be transmitted.
