So... I want to make a Crock Pot Incubator...

I think this will be the best I can do. I’m using a sheet of damp paper towels because i ran out of cotton balls, lol

I have discovered that lifting the lid shaves off about 10% humidity immediately...
Odd, since indoors humidity is currently about 75%

Going into proper lock down..!

Candled both eggs, the air cells are dipping significantly and the eggs actually showed strong veining and good movement.

The air temperature dropped a little, probably due to now there being extra space over the eggs.

I need to rewet the paper towel about once every 12 hours. Not too worried about humidity right now as it’s super humid outside. So I’ll be checking on the eggs a lot more than will be conventional for lockdown.

I’ve heard people say not to disturb the eggs during hatch, but after reading post after post of chicks playing football with eggs, and watching my own broody epically shuffling her eggs around during the supposed lock down.... I have my doubts about that piece of advice...
