My Indian Fantail cock is bathing in his water and it's not all that warm, it's like 5 degrees. He's in a cozy cage in my rabbitry, which is draft free.

He's sitting on two squabs with my hen, so if he decides to go sit on them and he's still wet, will it affect the babies ?

Help ! :)

I wouldn't worry if he goes to sit while still wet. The drop in temperature will not be enough to kill the babies, and he will quickly warm up again. He might even fluff his unders before sitting again anyhow, and will be dry/warm enough that there is no worry.

I'm in northern Wyoming, and my pigeons love to bathe in the coldest temps too. It's just a pigeon thing.
