Okay, I had to go ask my husband what he thought (from the man side of the situation). He said that the DH should put the hardware cloth up, so that his wife is not up all night worrying about the birds being ate by coons. He said that under no circumstance would he ever leave one of my coops unsafe and cause me un-needed worrying. (I already have enough gray hair as it is)

Sheesh ya'll, settle down. The OP was just letting of some steam and DH has been coerced into finishing the job tonight.

Personally, I would never wave my underwear in public like this, but for some it seems to be cathartic. As Grandmother Lucy said, if you can't say something nice say "How interesting".
